What is PHP? What are PHP codes?
#1
PHP, which has an important place in Web development, actually allows you to dynamically use the management panel, where the content of today's websites can be managed. For this reason, PHP, which is one of the programming languages frequently preferred by programmers, is one of the hero tools behind the websites you often visit in everyday life.

What is PHP?

PHP is a web-based and Object-Oriented Programming Language. Previously, PHP stands for Personal Home Page, that is,” personal home", is now used as Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP allows you to create dynamic websites that are self-managed. Created in 1995, PHP continues to be developed by the PHP community today.

What are PHP features?

PHP gives users a lot of flexibility because it is the language of a program running on the server, that is, it works on the web server. PHP makes it much easier to work with databases and files or change images. Although the vast majority of programming languages in general run on the server side, some programming languages, such as JavaScript, run on the client side, i.e. in the web browser.

“Why PHP?"when you are wondering; the unique advantages of the PHP programming language play a major role in its frequent preference. Because it is an open source programming language, everyone contributes to its development and always continues to be developed. PHP, which is actually Linux-based, can be easily run on all servers with a virtual server without any problems.

Among the advantages of PHP, it stands out that it can be easily developed by everyone. Because in this way, users do not have any problems with resources. At the same time, famous companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram can easily use their information with API support. In addition, many file formats can be read and processed with the contribution of auxiliary classes.

With GitHub using PHP, a large number of developers can come together and implement new and comprehensive projects. In addition, in this process, you can find a large number of projects similar to the project that you want to develop and create new ideas. Composer, a dependency management tool related to PHP, also includes many benefits that PHP offers to users.

Because thanks to this tool, it becomes easier to set up classes and libraries needed in projects. In the Composer tool, all data is stored as json and packages are created as json. Using Composer, all packages and all classes are automatically loaded without any difficulty. In addition, PHP code is much more secure than JavaScript code, as it is server-side code.

In addition, PHP is not considered a programming language that is vulnerable or difficult to learn. It is a very reliable programming language, while being open source, it keeps the cost quite low. For this reason, the language, which is practical, simple and full of advantages, also offers a great performance.

An object-oriented language, PHP is the most widely used web-based programming language in the world. PHP, which works compatible with databases, has MySQL and similar special helpers. In this way, it is possible to create much more dynamic websites and management panels in a much more practical way.

What can be done with PHP?

Everything imaginable can be done thanks to a successful and useful web-based programming language such as PHP and a web browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox and so on that helps fast development. Using PHP, everything can be implemented from a fairly simple blog site with very few features to as far-reaching work as a search engine.

At the same time, websites that are not developed and dropped once with PHP are also made that continue to develop continuously. For example, using PHP, you can develop WordPress, Twitter, Facebook or online games from scratch and continue to develop these projects over time. Already, among the reasons why PHP is heavily preferred and used is the flexibility it offers users.

So “what does PHP do?"when asked, There is actually no limit to what can be done. At the same time, those who are not experienced enough in programming, or who have difficulty creating solutions for the need for some operations, can also perform a large number of operations quickly and in the most practical way using PHP Script. Scripts are available for free or for free.

All these works are implemented with PHP, while some editor / IDE programs can also be used. Programs such as Notepad++, NetBeans, Sublime Text, and Eclipse can be preferred to write code much faster, regularly, and clearly. NotePad++ is ideal for beginners, while the vast majority of programmers use Sublime Text.

PHP databases and database relationships

One of the most focused and powerful features of PHP is its advanced and extensive database support. By using one of the database-specific plugins, such as MySQL, or using an abstraction layer, such as PDO, PHP makes it possible to create site pages with a database connection.

In addition, it is quite easy to open a connection that supports standards with the ODBC plugin. For other databases, sockets such as CouchDB or cURL plug-ins can be used. For small managed websites, it is also usually much healthier to use a MySQL database. It becomes possible to provide a fairly fast connection using a few PHP commands and functions.

When using PHP, as long as the structure is prepared in the most correct way with database setup, it becomes easier to get results that are faster and more efficient than expected. In MySQL, the most basic operations are to add data to a table, pull this data somewhere, update or delete the data regularly.

Who invented PHP?

Rasmus Lerdorf, the inventor of PHP, Danish but living in Canada and interested in software, founded the PHP programming language in 1995. Rasmus started his first development process in 1994 by writing some CGI Perl scripts to manage his personal website. Thanks to these scripts, Rasmus was able to view the site's resume and record the website's visitor traffic.

He then re-encoded scripts with C that could interact with web forms, communicate with databases, and run much faster. As a result, he called this application a personal home page/ Form interpreter, that is, PHP/FI. Thanks to PHP/FI, it was quite easy to create dynamic websites in a simple way.

Immediately after these efforts, on June 8, 1995, in order to speed up the debugging process and improve the source code, Rasmus announced the PHP/FI project that he developed in a Usenet discussion group to people under the name of the staff Home Page Tool, i.e. PHP Tools. With this first announcement, a very different era has begun for the digital world.

Features such as defining Perl-like variables in PHP in 2013, placing HTML code in script codes, and managing forms were included in the version announced by Rasmus. Although the syntax was similar to Perl in general, it was more restricted, simple, and inconsistent than it was. After months of testing and work with the development team, PHP/FI 2 was officially announced in November 1997.
